Sociology Undergraduate Advisors
The two undergraduate advisors are Allison Hall and Jennifer Sykora. These advisors can provide assistance with the following:
Counseling regarding your education and sociology courses
Declaring the sociology major
Assessing your progress in the major
Administrative concerns (i.e. TeleBEARS, Add/Drops)
Graduation matters
Info on the major, sociology courses, independent studies, Senior Honors Program, student groups, and AKD Honor Society
Graduate programs and career information and referral

Sociology Peer Advisors
There are approximately 10 trained Sociology Peer Advisors available on a drop-in basis during the academic year (not in the summer)
to advise students regarding the sociology major requirements, sociology courses, administrative procedures, and other relevant matters.
They hold office hours outside 424 Barrows; and their hours are posted outside 426 Barrows.
Faculty Undergraduate Advisor
In addition to the undergraduate advisors, there is a faculty member appointed each year who is available to talk with students about
their education in sociology and graduate school opportunities. This faculty member is also responsible for evaluating selected transfer coursework.
