Peter S. Hepburn

sociology of culture; stratification; poverty and urban sociology; demography

Peter Hepburn is a third-year doctoral student in the joint program in Sociology and Demography at the University of California Berkeley. He holds a BS from Georgetown University and an MA from the University of Chicago. His research focuses primarily on culture and urban sociology. He is currently working on a project examining the roles that neighborhoods and social networks have on the development and application of cultural repertoires. He is also involved in an on-going project exploring the effects of wives' relative income share on the likelihood of progression to higher-order parities in the U.S.
