Ticket Pickup/Ticket Sales Week - April 15th -19th
Commencement 2013 tickets will be available for graduating Sociology seniors (only) to purchase at the Front Desk of the Department of Sociology in 410 Barrows Hall beginning April 15th. During this initial ticket sale week (April 15-19) graduates can obtain 2 free tickets and may purchase a limited number of additional tickets for $10 each. Please come prepared with cash only (no checks, no credit cards). The number of additional tickets each graduate can buy will be determined after the registration deadline, March 15th. In recent years it has been 4 additional tickets, but we may offer less if we have a significantly large number of graduates participating.

Tickets are non-refundable, unless we sell out, in which case we would set up procedures for buybacks. If you decide later not to participate in the ceremony, you can sell your tickets back to us and we will take your name out of the program unless you are graduating Spring 2012 or before. We will also take out your graduation namecard, that you need to get into Zellerbach and walk across the stage.
Extra Ticket Sale Day - Thursday, April 25, 10:00 a.m. sharp
The number of allotted tickets per graduate is a conservative number. We anticipate that there will be extra tickets available after everyone has had a chance to get this initial allotment during the initial sale week. The number of extras will depend on the number of students who actually choose to participate and how many of them purchase the allotted amount or less. In most years we have been able to sell at least 2-3 more on the Extra Ticket Sale Day. This varies from year to year.
The Extra Ticket Sale Day will be on Thursday, April 25, at 10:00 a.m. outside of 410 Barrows Hall. It is not first-come, first-serve, so there is no need to line up extra early. However, it is very important to be in line by 10:00. It is at this time that we will count the number of available tickets we have. Everyone will then be allowed to purchase up to that number. Any leftovers will be sold to those who need more, only after we have accommodated everyone in line. It all happens quickly within about 15-20 minutes. By 10:15 or so we will either be sold out or still have extras which we will sell on a first-come, first-serve basis at the Sociology Front Desk, 410 Barrows Hall. Each ticket is $10.Please remember to bring CASH, preferably small bills so we don't run out of change.
If we sell out, and we are likely to, we will set up a system for students to sell back any unused tickets prior to graduation, so that others can buy additional tickets. Tickets are not refundable unless we sell out.
