Isabel García Valdivia is a UC President’s Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Sociology at the University of California, Los Angeles. She received her B.A. in Chicanx/Latinx Studies and Sociology from Pomona College and a Ph.D. in Sociology from UC Berkeley. She is originally from Joliet, Illinois.
