Social theory, political sociology, law and society, comparative and historical sociology, methods, human rights, Latin America, Spain, innovations in inclusive pedagogy and teaching

I do research on the historical and institutional origins of the rule of law and the subjective experience of everyday life under different legal regimes. I study these questions from a global perspective using a variety of methods ranging from comparative-historical analysis to in-depth interviews. I am also a committed and award-winning instructor with a publication pipeline focused on innovations in inclusive and equitable pedagogy.
