Vol. 7 of Eleven, the Undergraduate Journal of Sociology is now out.
It features four critical articles by students of Michael Burawoy's Fall 2016 course, "Our University," which he co-taught with graduate student Kara Young. John Towey applies a Marxist class analysis to executive compensation. The other three authors: Thea Matthews, Natalie Ruiz, and Aaron Palmer draw from Weberian theory in their examination of campus sexual violence, student parents' experiences navigating the financial aid system, and Campus Shared Services.
