Every year, Sociology undergraduates are recognized for their high academic acheivement and outstanding undergraduate research. We boast Haas Scholars, McNairs, and University Medalists. Our Senior Honors Program is an intensive, year-long program in which students conduct independent research and write an Honors Thesis. Successful completion of this program is what earns students "Honors in Sociology" on their Berkeley transcript. Honors students and others are recognized along with graduate students, faculty, and undergraduates at our annual Spring Honors Reception.
