Assistant Professor of Sociology Danny Schneider and his co-author, Associate Professor Kristen Harknett (UCSF) have released a report that draws on new data from the Shift project to describe work scheduling practices in the service sector in Philadelphia The majority of those surveyed experience schedule instability and unpredictability, which create hardships and stress for themselves and their families.
