Leeds, Ruppel win 2024 ASA Student Paper Awards

PhD student Tyler Leeds won the student paper award from the Biosociology and Evolutionary Sociology section for his paper titled, "The Bio-Habitus: Using Pain Science to Reconstruct Bourdieusian Theory," which was published in Sociological Theory earlier this year.  

 

PhD student Emily Ruppel won the student paper awards from both the sections on Marxist Sociology and on Labor and Labor Movements for her paper titled, "Disability and the State Production of Precarity," which was published in Work and Occupations in 2023
