Eleven: The Undergraduate Journal of Sociology

OVERVIEW

Eleven: The Undergraduate Journal of Sociology publishes sociological papers written by current and recent undergraduates. A UC Berkeley-based, student-run publication, the journal provides a much needed academic forum that highlights outstanding undergraduate scholarship in the social sciences.

Eleven is named after Marx's Eleventh Thesis on Feuerbach: "Philosophers have hitherto only interpreted the world in various ways; the point is to change it." The journal hopes to provide a space to do just that, while promoting critical engagement with the field of sociology

OPPORTUNITIES

We conduct recruitment in the fall for our editorial board, and in both fall and spring for our public relations and creative teams. The editorial board works alongside upper management, engaging with accepted papers to help authors refine for publication. Members of the creative team design promotional materials and the layout of each journal, while the public relations team manages social media and inter-university outreach.
