Daniel Laurison (Berkeley PhD, 2013) will be Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Swarthmore starting Fall 2016. Laurison is currently a postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Sociology Department of the London School of Economics and Political Science.

PhD Candidate Alex Barnard published his paper, Making the City “Second Nature”: Freegan “Dumpster Divers” and the Materiality of Morality, in the January 2016 issue of the American Journal of Sociology. 
Trevor Gardner (Berkeley PhD, 2014) will be Assistant Professor in the Law School at University of Washington starting Fall 2016. Gardner is currently Faculty Fellow at NYU Law School.  
Julia Chuang (Berkeley PhD, 2014) will begin a position as Assistant Professor of Sociology at Boston College in Fall 2016. Chuang is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Watson Institute for International Studies at Brown University. 
PhD Candidate Gowri Vijayakumar has just accepted a position as Assistant Professor of Sociology at Brandeis University starting Fall 2016.

Riley has published with his co-authors (Rebecca Jean Emigh and Patricia Ahmed) a two volume comparative and historical analysis of census taking covering over a thousand years of history and focusing on three cases: Britain/United Kingdom, the United States, Italy.
