Q: When and where is the Sociology Commencement Ceremony?
A: The 2024 Sociology Graduation Celebration is an in-person event that will be held on Monday, May 13th at 9 a.m. at Zellerbach Hall. Students are asked to arrive by 8:30am for the student processional.
Q: Who can participate?
A: Sociology majors who graduated in Fall 2023 or with an expected graduation date of Spring 2024, Summer 2024, and Fall 2024.
Q: How do I register for the Sociology Commencement Ceremony?
A: You must complete the 2 part survey. The link to register will be found at the end of the 1st survey.

Q: How will I get tickets for myself and my guests?
A: Registered graduating students do not need tickets for themselves. Every person who enters Zellerbach Hall will need a ticket. However, all registered students will get 2 complimentary tickets. Tickets for children 3 years and younger will be available for free on the day of commencement at Cal Performance Box Office (located at the northeast corner of Zellerbach Hall) .
You can pick up your 2 free tickets during in-person, drop-in advising: Monday-Thursday from 10-Noon and 2-4pm in either 424/426 Social Sciences Building. Please note that if either adviser is busy working with a student, you will need to wait until it is your turn to be helped.

Phone and window hours are:
Open Tuesday–Friday, 12–5:30 pm, Saturday–Sunday 1–5 pm.
Closed Mondays.
