Dear Alumni:

As part of the project to unveil the history of Berkeley sociology we are trying to build a community of alumni. We have made every effort to find as many of you as we can. To-date we have nearly 80% of the email addresses of our 600 plus doctoral students who have graduated since the department was established in 1946. 

The Departmental Citation in Sociology is an award recognizing undergraduate excellence.  The Departmental Citation is awarded annually in May to one graduating Sociology senior.


Eligibility Requirements:

Minimum 3.7 major g.p.a
Completion of at least 100 units overall
Intent to complete all degree requirements by the summer term of the award year
Completion of at least 6 courses in Sociology (including transfer coursework)
